Cedar-sided, two bedrooms, 890 sq. ft., sun porch overlooking the lake . . . this first-time offered cottage harbors dear memories of many summers on Lake Namakagon.
Pretty much all you need from ice-out to November, the quaintly furnished cottage includes a very nice docking system, knotty pine up north interior, cabin-style kitchen, combined dining and living space, an 8 x 9 den / hobby room and a full bath with tub & shower.
We discovered original wood floors (painted dark brown) beneath carpeting in the living room / dining area, kitchen and den. Built around 1950, the bedrooms, bath and mechanics room are newer additions.
The lot and frontage are about as perfect as you can find. The cottage sits a mere 20 feet from the water’s edge! Level yard, sand and gravel bottom shoreline, shaded and sunny areas with western exposure . . . this is a family friendly setting on Bayfield County’s largest inland lake.
Namakagon is a recreation lake that provides 3,227 acres of boating and fishing pleasure. There are islands and resorts and several restaurants with docking allowed for diners – including Garmisch, Lakewoods and Pla-Mor. Located at the north end of Lake Namakagon, the cottage is about 1/2 mile from a portion of Chequamegon National Forest that borders the lake directly across from this property.
Groceries and gas are found in both Grand View 9 miles north and in Cable, about 20 minutes away, where you’ll also find a post office, bank, hardware store, gift shops and cafes.
Fishing season opened May 1st. There is plenty of time left to be in this cabin and out on the lake. We’d be glad to show you this See Worthy cottage anytime!
